Gürhan Kök

Gürhan Kök, is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in 2003 at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey. Professor Kok’s research interests include supply chain management, retail operations, inventory management, and assortment planning. He has collaborated with major companies such as Nine West, Best Buy, Ahold, and B\E AeroSpace. His research has also been sponsored with grants from research institutes such as ECR-Europe. He was awarded Marie Curie International Fellowship grant by the European Commission in 2011. His papers appeared in Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, and Operations Research and received honorable mention awards in the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science’s Student Paper Competition in 2003 and Junior Faculty Paper Competition in 2005. He serves on the editorial boards of major research journals.
